THRIVE Santa Maria encompasses a small (less than one square mile) yet densely inhabited area of western Santa Maria which comprises the boundaries of Fairlawn and Robert Bruce Schools. These two school communities include many of the lowest socio-economic areas of the Santa Maria-Bonita School District. Unfortunately, these neighborhoods are dominated by all the indicators of poverty and risk in our county. The boundaries are highlighted in blue. The area is framed by West Main Street, North Broadway, West Donovan to North Railroad to West Alvin & finally to North Blosser & back to West Main Street in Santa Maria, California.
Collaborating together to improve our community from cradle to career and beyond
Improving the lives of our community members through integrated and culturally relevant services
Our Theory of Change:
If children are healthy, have quality educational experiences, live in safe, stable, and nurturing families, and live in a community that supports their neighborhood schools and provides opportunities for all to succeed, then we will have students who come to school ready to succeed and continue to succeed throughout their educational experiences and in life.
